Here is a chance to own an incredibly rare piece of Gibson history. This is the only one ever produced. It was made in the Gibson Montana Custom Shop as a gift to one of the execs at TKL, who made all the high end / Custom Shop cases for Gibson at the time. So this is an opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind Gibson Custom Shop acoustic.
This guitar bears the Dove motif throughout in the Super Jumbo body style. BUT with a cutaway and in a thinline package. The body depth is 3". The lower bout is 16.75" wide. The upper bout is 12.25" wide. So I guess this is like a Dove, Super Jumbo, Super 300 hybrid. It is an absolute specimen. It has a Gibson Aura Pro system for plugging in. Gold grover tuners.
It is made of AAA-grade sitka spruce top and a highly figured AAA-grade curly maple back and sides—finished off in a stunning traditional cherry sunburst. The maple figuring / flame on the body is absolutely mesmerizing. It has an ebony fretboad, with the special Doves in Flight inlay at the 12th fret. And it bears the Gibson crown (or thistle) logo on the headstock that first graced the ES-300 dating back to the 1940s. It also comes with its original form-fitting TKL hardshell case. I believe it was made in 2008, and it has been barely touched since. It sounds as great as it looks. A unique and versatile package.
Take a close look at all photos and let me know if you have any questions. Don't miss the chance to own the only one in the Gibson-verse.
