A pair of RCH Audio Engineering Unbalanced to balanced converters. These use our own custom designed and wound transformers with a 1:1 ratio, Interwinding screen & large mu-metal core for minimal distortion. They have exceptionally wide and flat frequency response (within approx. 0.4db from 10Hz to 50KHz) & can handle high levels even at low frequencies. They are floating balanced on both sides with a TRS Jack input connector which allows them to accept balanced inputs such that they can be used as ‘balanced isolators’ too. Obviously with an unbalanced (or TS) jack plugged into the input, they operate as an unbalanced input.
The ground lift switch sits between the screen connection (pin 1) on the output XLR and the Sleeve on the jack input connector. Pin 1 from the XLR is also permanently tied to the case (for screening) & the interwinding screen on the transformer.
These are very decent sounding units.
They have been lightly used with a few odd marks etc. Tested, working & offered at a very reasonable price. I have two pairs for sale.
