This is a low serial (#151026), original Roland SH-1000 synthesizer. I am the second owner. The original owner said he bought this in December of 1973 when he was a senior at Kent State University.

As you can tell, the first owner kept this in the basement for a while, so there is some cosmetic damage to the wood veneer in places. I decided to leave this intact as an honest testament to its age, as nothing is structurally compromising. Very few of us reach the age of 50 and beyond without scars to prove it, after all.

With the exception of a couple screws in the bottom of the unit, all hardware is original as well. This is in perfect working order, all switches and pots have been cleaned and operate crackle-free. It has lived its entire life in a smoke-free environment. Some of the tabs on the left side of the register are scratched/faded, but I am not sure why. Very little evidence of rust and the keybed is still relatively snappy.

As for now I am listing this as for local pickup only, because I would have serious misgivings about the fragile plastic tabs all making it to their destination intact, and they are extremely expensive and difficult to replace. If you are interested in making an offer for shipping to be included and acknowledge all risk associated with that and affirm you will not attempt to hold me responsible for any damage in transit, we can talk.
