At just 11″ long and weighing only 5.1 oz, it remains unobtrusive on camera, while delivering a tight pickup pattern thanks to its line + gradient design—ideal for capturing long-distance sound with excellent side and rear rejection. It operates on 11–52 V phantom power or a single AA battery (lasting up to 1,200 hours). The recessed low-cut switch eliminates unwanted rumble. Each mic ships complete with an AT8405a stand clamp, AT8134 foam windscreen, XLR adapter, battery, and protective pouch, making it ready for field deployment.
