Description

The Taylor 514ce Legacy Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar is part of the exclusive Legacy Collection, created to honor Taylor's 50th anniversary. Featuring the iconic Grand Auditorium body shape with a Venetian cutaway, this model combines a Western red cedar top with neo-tropical mahogany back and sides, delivering rich, warm tones. This special guitar is crafted for players who appreciate Taylor's balance of innovation and tradition, offering a versatile instrument with a strong tonal presence.

X-Bracing Pattern for Enhanced Projection and Resonance

The 514ce Legacy is designed with Taylor's advanced X-bracing pattern, which not only enhances the guitar's projection but also allows for greater resonance. This bracing system provides structural integrity while allowing the top to vibrate more freely, delivering a balanced and rich acoustic tone. The Venetian cutaway adds to the guitar's versatility, making it easier to access the upper frets for lead playing without sacrificing tone.

Warm, Balanced Tone With Western Red Cedar and Mahogany

The combination of a Western red cedar top and neo-tropical mahogany back and sides delivers a distinct tonal palette. Cedar provides a warm, responsive character, ideal for fingerstyle players and those who prefer a more nuanced sound. The mahogany contributes clear midrange tones with a focused and woody resonance, offering balance and clarity. This pairing produces a warm, detailed sound that excels in various playing styles.

Premium Gold Hardware and Fine Ebony Fingerboard

With Taylor gold tuners and gold buttons, the 514ce Legacy ensures smooth tuning stability and adds a luxurious aesthetic. The fingerboard and bridge are crafted from genuine African ebony, providing a smooth playing surface and rich tonal characteristics. The headstock overlay, made from Indian rosewood, complements the guitar's overall appearance with its deep, natural finish. These premium materials not only enhance the playability but also contribute to the guitar's long-lasting durability.

Exclusive Legacy Label, Special Design

As part of the Legacy Collection, inside the soundhole, you'll find a special Legacy label, signifying its unique place in Taylor's 50th Anniversary celebration. Each guitar is built to the highest standards with careful attention to craftsmanship and detail.
