- Fully functional
- Shock mounted capsule
- Rare Script Style Sennheiser Logo
- New cabling with XLR connector
For sale is the Sennheiser MD 407 with the script style Sennheiser logo, and it uses an earlier iteration of the same capsule found in the well recognized MD 409! The acoustic resonator/baffle is the only thing that separates the two, leading to a slightly different sound. I find the MD 407's have a bit less bass response compared to a 409, due to that different resonator design. This microphone requires zero work before putting it to use and is compatible with modern interfaces. Cosmetically, it has no faults besides a crack that seems to have been repaired and is showing zero movement. Sonically, this mic sounds as great, with a nice tonality that would work well on a lot of sources.
