Jaydee Custom Old Boy SG Tony Iommi Black Sabbath
Like Iommi’s original “Old Boy” SG, this guitar was built in Birmingham by the late John Diggins and like the original, has 24 frets with custom cross inlays. I would list her in mint condition but I found a very small dimple below the tone control knobs, which I've tried to show in the photographs. This was special ordered and the waitlist was extremely long. Tony Iommi talks about his “Old Boy” SG made by John Diggins “Jaydee” in the video. It ships from the US; so, you don’t have to deal with customs.
I owned a Gibson Custom Shop Tony Iommi SG that was made in the early 2000’s. That was a great guitar, but I like this one much better, partly because of its thinner neck profile.
This guitar was built with the 456 bridge like Iommi’s Old Boy. According to the website, “The 456 bridge has been discontinued by Schaller.” So, you can own this one with the correct bridge.
