This Gibson by Orville Les Paul is an outstanding axe in beautiful condition. A high-quality, MIJ build ca. 1989, these OxG guitars are arguably better than Gibson USA of the era. Featuring Bill Lawrence Gibson USA humbuckers with Japanese craftsmanship to boot. The neck is straight, the electronics are functioning and it plays/sounds awesome.
Cosmetically, the guitar is in very good condition. Small nicks, dings, scratches, scuffs and patina are present, a little clouding in the headstock. Most notably a small smile crack repair in the headstock which, honestly, I didn’t even notice until I started taking pictures for this listing. Rock solid repair. Super handsome in vintage sunburst. Included is a Japanese Naugahyde soft case.
Local pick up from PTD Vintage in Chicago‘s Wicker Park neighborhood available and encouraged. Shipping is a flat $125 in the lower 48.
