This is a Selmer Bb trumpet made in Paris in 1950. It has 20 stamped on the underside of the mouthpiece receiver which denotes a medium-large bore or .458. This has been confirmed by measuring the bore with calipers.
The lacquer shows wear throughout this trumpet and there has been dent work on the bell crook and bell flare. There is missing lacquer in the areas where the dents were removed. The trumpet is clean and the valves are fast and smooth; slides are smooth; and valve compression is good. Has a nickel silver leadpipe and nickel silver slide tubes.
This trumpet comes with what is likely not the original case, but rather a later Selmer case which has some damage to the zipper. The zipper can be used, but can come off the track when the case is opened and requires a little effort to get back on track. If the buyer prefers, we can provide a generic case with functioning latches.
