Taisho Goto - Nagoya harp. Keyed lap steel like Japanese instrument with soft

This is a Taisho Goto or Nagoya Harp with a pick holder, 2 picks, original felt cover/cloth and a soft case. A traditional Japanese instrument made in Nagoya, Japan. I have sold a few of these lately. Its a good looking and great sounding instrument.

Its a bizarre mix of keys and strings. It really resembles a lap steel but have a unique sound. See the video, (which is terrible because I am not good with these) but they really put a smile on your face. Typically tuned to E but you can experiment with tunings. Has a single pickup with volume and tone control. (Please see shipping info below)

This is well built, with quality tuners and pick up installed. A great beginner instrument for kids but these are not toys, they can really add some ambiance to your tracks, especially when run through pedals to alter the sound. 73 cm long

Overall very good, a few minor scratches and some finish fog. Some chrome worn off the wrist plate. The previous owner covered his name with tape on the case. Strings sets are available on Amazon or use guitar strings with the ball ends removed.

I carefully pack and ship with insurance and tracking information or you are always welcome to come pick it up at my place in Nagoya, Japan. You can even spend a night jamming out on vintage gear and crash in the spare room.
