Up for grabs is ONE used (with less than light average wear) 2004 Ibanez Super 58 (SP 58 model pickup) SP-58-R Bridge humbucker pickup, Chrome, Indonesia, Ceramic (7.82k full strength / fully functional). Comes with silver colors screws and springs. The heads of the screws are Philips.

NOTE: The pole piece spacing measurement is 50mm // 1.9685 inches (which is just under 2 inches) SEE pictures # 7 and # 8.

Please review all of the pictures (especially of the TOP SIDE). This is because not all of the imperfections of the TOP Side appear in on picture. The types of imperfections that the TOP SIDE has are: several not too light / not too deep visible tiny & very small visible nicks, some not too light / not too deep visible hair-line scratches (various lengths - but most are short), and a few very light very small surface scuffs.

  • More details about the condition are further down in the description.

NOTE: Since most of the pictures especially of the TOP SIDE - were taken in a lower light to better show the imperfections and in doing so - the chrome cover looks dull (but in person it is a regular shiny chrome color). Picture # 18 is provided to show that chrome cover is a shiny metal cover (but in this picture - you don't see the imperfections that this pick up has).

  • Pictures # 2 and # 3 show most of the imperfections and in picture # 2 the chrome color does not look so dull.

The under side of the pickup has a small white label that says: SP-58-R. The R stands for REAR which is bridge. But this pickup can go in the Neck position. The SP 58 is an Ibanez pickup that is modeled after a PAF pickup - in case you did not know PAF pickups for the neck & bridge positions have the same pole piece spacing).

  • As I just stated _ - the pole piece / pole screw spacing measurement is 50mm // 1.9685 inches

In case you're wondering - I do NOT have the matching SP-58-F Neck pickup (the F stands for FRONT - which is neck). I sold it a couple of weeks ago.

This pickup is 4 conductor.

The SP 58 pickup for sale in this listing is the lower quality version (specifically made in Indonesia - but the lower quality type of SP58 pickups are also made in China).

  • NOTE: In case you don't know - Japan made and the South Korean made Super 58 pickups have Alnico 3 or Alnico 5 magnets. These pickup are NOT part of this listing. In case you're wondering - I don't have any. And as you probably know - they cost more money because they are better made.

This pickup came off of a lightly used 2004 Ibanez Jet King JTK1 Made in Indonesia (guitar NOT included / NO other parts included).

  • NOTE: this version of the JTK1 (made in Indonesia) was in production from 2003- 2004.

Average DCR: 7.4k to 7.8k

The actual pickup for sale in this listing has a DCS of 7.82k (7.8k) Full strength. The multimeter reading was taken on June 13, 2025. Room temperature was about 68 °F. Remember that room temperature affects the multi-meter reading - so this reading fluctuates a little bit.

To get the multi-meter reading:

  • put multimeter at dial at 20k position (you can also put it at 200k)
  • twist the RED and BLUE wired together
  • twist the WHITE and BARE wires together
  • leave the BLACK wire by itself (the BLACK wire is the hot)
  • touch one tip of the multimeter to the exposed end of the BLACK wire
  • touch the other tip of the multimeter to the twisted together exposed end of the WHITE & BARE wires

==

WIRE(s): The wires(s) are fine. The Main BLACK wire has light curves / bends.

  • Full Length of Main BLACK Wire + Thin Individual Wires: about 8 and 5/8 inches
  • Length of Main BLACK wire (NOT counting the thin individual wires): about 8 and 3/4 inches.

==

The pole pieces / pole screw spacing measurement: 50mm ( 1.9685 inches - which is just under 2 inched). SEE pictures # 7 and # 8.

Most of the imperfection are on TOP SIDE.TOP SIDE). The types of imperfections that the TOP SIDE has are: several not too light / not too deep visible tiny & very small visible nicks, some not too light / not too deep visible hair-line scratches (various lengths - but most are short), and a few very light very small surface scuffs.

The Narrow Left, Right, Upper, and Lower sides of the Chrome Cover are mostly very clean- - a few minor imperfections here & there and these sides have extremely light surface wax residue.

The BOTTOM SIDE is visibly completely covered with wax (picture # 9 and # 19, # 20, and # 21). The wax has some not too light / no too deep -- very short / short scratches, tiny / very small nicks, and very small / small scuffs. And the wax has some surface cloudiness cloudy wax surface spots and some unevenness. And the areas where the pole slugs are the wax dips in a little - so there are six small round impressions. You don't see the imperfection in picture # 22 or in picture # 6.

The label on the bottom is fine- it just has very light surface wax over it.

The main wire is fine - just light curves. At the area near the very thin wires - left a small piece of the black insulation & a small piece of the metallic shielding on - I did so in case you need to pull down the main black insulation more to expose more of the thin wires. You can trim off the excess.

The pair of new screws and a pair of springs are fine / extremely clean (actually they are new). The screws are silver and the heads of the screws are Philips. Please let me know if you prefer black colored screws.

I took several pictures of this pickup, a few of the wire (s), and a few of the screws / springs.

Please message me with any questions.  Feel free to ask for more pictures.

NOTE:  There may be some imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures.  There may be a few imperfections that appear more accurately in person than they appear in the pictures. There may be a few imperfections that I overlooked.  And - there maybe some imperfections show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person (like glares reflections, and dust / lint specks). And there might be some imperfections on this item that show up more (or less) in the pictures than they appear in person.
