The See Thru Black Sunburst finish ESP E-II Horizon III is generally only available in Japan. This Horizon III is equipped with factory installed EMG's which is rare in the western market. I have not seen another one for sale in such configuration. In comparison to the standard Horizon E-II it has an alder body vs mahogany, neck-thru instead of set neck, coil split pickup mods, strap locks and no extra battery compartment for the EMG's, so less holes in the back = better overal wood tone.
Created at the ESP facility in Tokyo, Japan the ESP E-II Horizon-III is a bold variation on the classic ESP Horizon shape, with an extended and beveled upper horn and a shortened lower horn. Like other models in the ESP E-II Series, the Horizon-III is a guitar designed for high-level performing and designed for professional players who accept no compromises in tone, feel, or reliability for their guitars. It's available in two versions: the upgraded Horizon-III FR (with Floyd Rose and EMG's in See Thru Black finish) or the standard Horizon-III (in Reindeer Blue finish, Saymour's pickups, Gotoh TOM bridge and string-thru-body design). Both models use neck-thru-body construction, providing terrific tone and sustain, and fast access to even the highest stainless steel frets. What makes it special - this model is Equipped with factory EMG Pickups (not self-installed) which is rare.
The E-II Horizon III offers neck-through-body construction with alder body and arched flamed maple top, and a three-piece through maple neck that features an ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets and offset block inlays, and a satin finish on the back for super smooth playability.
This guitar offers high-end components that include a factory installed Floyd Rose Original bridge, Gotoh locking tuners, and ESP strap locks. Pickups on this E-II Horizon-III FR EMG are factory installed EMG 66TW (neck) and EMG 57TW (bridge), both with Brushed Black Chrome covers and coil splitting with push-pull controls. This axe is virtually new and scratch-free besides a few clear coat pick marks below high E string visible up close only in bright light and at an angle (will not show on the photos). Comes with ORIGINAL HORIZON 3 GUITAR FORM FIT CASE
