1963 Selmer Zodiac Twin 30 amp in excellent condition. This super rare model can be heard on the Animals first record (including the sublime intro to House of the Rising Sun ). Used by Paul McCartney, Jack White and others . The amp was sold with other rare gear to guitar center in L.A. in the 80's by Aspen Pittman (groovetubes) so he could finance his microphone co. I purchased it by the gentleman who bought it then. One very cool thing about this amp is that Pittman was able to outsource an original Drake power transformer that was 117v as Selmer only used European voltages on their models, so no voltage converter is needed! The only unoriginal components are the two 12" goodmans speakers which replaced the original 20 watt goodmans which were not able to handle the 50 watt power of the Zodiac. Original speakers can be found but these ones are unbelievable in sound, and power handling. Someone drilled 3 small holes in back panel probably for an external speaker. These could easily be filled or covered. The selectone buttons work awesomely and the coolest thing ever seen on an amp is its blue tube generated vibrato eye that is unreal especially on stage. The croc covering is the first year available and has just a few minor blemishes. A tiny piece of the grill frame metal on front is missing. Comes with original vibrato foot pedal and a hard metal travel case. This amp is unbelievable in every way and the only reason I'm selling this gem is that its just too big and loud for my applications. You might see another one in this shape for sale when youre old because they just arent on the market very often (many more Zodiac 50's). Happy to answer any questions(206)473-0659.
