Up for grabs is an absolutely killer Tele Custom 1972 reissue, which is a real tone monster with killer looks and smooth playability. If you are searching for a guitar that can handle any genre from grunge to classic rock and everything in between, then this Tele deserves your attention. Produced at the famed Tokai factory and made for the Japanese market, it has a sleek, black finish, premium ash body and three-ply (BWB) pickguard. It also features a chunky maple neck and sleek maple fingerboard. This is top quality Ash and looks like something that could have made it on to a Custom Shop guitar. Aside from its visual appeal, this Tele is a great player that is structurally and electrically perfect. This Tele is sonically on point and fun to play. It is in excellent condition as you can see in the pics. It has a few little top surface coat scratches, but nothing out of line with light play-wear. as with any pre-loved guitar If you look hard enough, you could possibly find a little scuff/ding, but overall this a clean piece with only minor play-wear. It has a fresh professional set up for optimal playability and top notch sound. The intonation was dialed in and the frets were dressed / polished. They look fantastic and have plenty of life left.
In early 1951 the creation of the Telecaster began a sort of musical revolution... Not even Leo Fender himself could have predicted the impact of this guitar. When it was officially unveiled that year at the largest industry trade show it received its fair share of criticism. Onlookers mockingly referred to it as a "boat paddle" and "snow shovel." That initial interpretation did not last long however... Players soon realized that Fender had created something new and unusual, but more importantly, this guitar was well-designed, easy-playing, efficient, rugged, affordable and, above all, great-sounding. What had been designed was something that didn't't really exist before...a mass-produced, solid body, Spanish-style, electric guitar. The innovations continued and in the 70's Fender started to play around with Humbucking pickups, which were all the rage amongst professional players who favored Gibsons. The 70's brought us the Telecaster Custom as we all now know it. This guitar captures the magic while leaving the crazy price tags behind. Don'y miss out on this Tele that is just oozing with all the vintage vibe you are craving to lead you on a musical revolution.

Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy
We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:
- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.
- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.
We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.
Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.
We are a small business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.
