supro 1624t 1959 completely restored

for sale is a 1959 supro 1624t. it's the early version. nice condition for it's age. i have restored this to it's original glory. brand new old stock rca 6973 power tubes and a nos sylvania military 5y3gt as well as the 3 rca 12ax7 preamp tubes are the tube complement. 12ft 16 gauge grounded strain relieved ac cable installed. original transformers. original unmolested speaker. all cabinet screws are original. original handle etc...i did a complete electrolytic capacitor replacement and also replaced all the wax covered paper caps; almost all were leaky. it was extremely time consuming to work on this; there's no easy access to components with this layout. all of the work is neat and clean. i also replaced every capacitor in the vibrato circuit. this early circuit has the speed control opposite of what you'd expect; clockwise is slower. really cool vibrato.. one knob is missing and there's a little surface rust. the amp is quiet with no hum or buzz to speak of. the speaker holds up fine even when cranked on low bass notes..........

it sounds awesome. the distorted sound is classic.
