Early 1962, Dot Neck Gibson ES-330TD with Original Lifton Hardcase.

I Purchased this from Clem at GunCotton in London over 4 years ago. I’ve gigged it only once and recently it has been lying in its case unplayed, hence why I’m moving it on.
It has a comfortable slim D shape neck that’s typical of the early 60’s and the original frets still have plenty of life remaining.

One of the last 330’s to feature dot inlays, this 330 has some light play wear and light checking. At some point it has had its tuners reinstalled and a filled strap hole (pictured).

It has some dings, one being from a strap buckle on the back of neck, some light checking and wear on the treble side of the headstock (pictured). It’s not quite mint but in very good condition for its age. The tuners are quite stiff and a repro set would be recommend - something I never got around to doing myself.

It weight only 2.6kg

I was originally going to buy an early 1965 330TD with transitional nut width but this was in a completely different league so I had to buy this instead. It’s resonant, musical and sings. A truly remarkable guitar from the Golden Age of Gibson.

I see there are similar era 330’s currently available on the market but with changed parts, breaks etc, making this one a particularly good investment due to its originality.
