Up for grabs is a visibly used / visibly (heavily) relic'd from real player's wear & age Epiphone B-2 metric ABR-1 vintage style bridge CHROME finish with large posts mounting pieces (6M upper smooth post) / 8M lower threaded area0. NO anchors - sorry I do NOT have them.

  • It has notched saddles.

From early 2000s (I believe that this was on a 2000 Epiphone Bully (made in Korea) electric guitar that I restored and later sold.

The bridge is / was mostly likely made by the guitar parts company Sung-iL. They supplied Epiphone with parts / hardware for many years.

Written details about it's condition are further down in the description.

Please read info below about the mounting pieces because the mounting pieces are NOT the normal kind that are used with ABR-1 style bridges.

NOTE: Does NOT have C-Clips. But the saddles, screws and the retaining clips are on tight.

Even though there is a lot of visible: corrosion, discoloration and wear - the saddles and the screws can be adjusted fine.

By the way - the type of mounting posts for this bridge is called LARGE POSTS.

This ABR-1 style bridge is a great part for an import electric guitar (requiring metric studs) that you want to relic. Comes with large metric posts (sorry bushings (also called anchors or body inserts are NOT included)

This is considered to be a metric bridge / guitar part that is commonly associated with import guitars (which are guitars usually made in China and Indonesia and Korea).

NOTE: the mounting pieces are NOT the normal kind that are used with ABR-1 style bridges . The normal type of mounting are narrow completely threaded screws (that in most instances) screw into the wood of a guitars body) and that have thumbwheels that can be taken off of the mounting screws. << This style in NOT what the bridge for sale in this listing uses.

In the pictures you can see the type of mounting pieces that goes with this specific bridge - which is the type that is normally is used with a NASHVILLE TOM bridge but larger and the top side of each mounting post has a dash imprint:

  • upper half is a smooth post, center area has an un-removable circular thumbwheel, and lower half has a threaded screw-like stem.
  • also the diameter of the upper half and the diameter of the lower half of the mounting pieces are wide: 6mm (6M) for smooth upper half and 8mm (8M) for the lower threaded half
  • Also the center of the TOP Side of each Mounting Post has a dash line impression (which you have to option to use to raise or to lower the height of the bridge).

This bridge is for some import electric guitars (that are usually in a lower or mid / lower price range) that use this style bridge.

This bridge will NOT fit on a Gibson because mounting holes are too big and because the mount pieces (smooth upper post the part and the lower threaded part) are too wide.

This is NOT a historic part. This is NOT a vintage (meaning old) part.

  • But it has a vintage - heavily appearance (from actual player's wear and age).

==

Weight of this bridge with the saddles, screws, & wire is 1.6 ounces

  • NOTE: this weight does not include the mounting pieces.

Made of zinc die-cast.

Some measurements:

  • String spread (also called Slot spacing) is 2 and 1/32" (which is very slightly less than 2 and 1/16") SEE picture # 8.
  • Post spacing 2-29/32" (which is close to 2 and 7/8") (73.66mm) SEE picture # 9.

NOTE: Three of the saddles are in one direction. And three saddles are in the other direction. This is how this style bridge is designed.

  • The orientation of ABR-1 bridge saddles can be adjusted to fine-tune intonation, and sometimes.
  • NOTE: Flipping half the saddles allows for a slightly greater range of adjustment, or to accommodate different string gauges.

In case you don't already know: the adjustment screws on the ABR-1 bridge are designed to face the neck, ensuring that the strings angle over the saddles without interfering with the screw heads.
