A pair of transformer based level converters, with Female XLR’s for +4db input and 1/4” TRS jack sockets at the other end for the -10db out. They were designed to take line levels from pro audio kit and drop them down to semi pro or non pro level but could be used in many situations where attenuation is required. They are balanced & fully floating on both sides - you can unbalanced the output by simply grounding the cold leg. They have incredible frequency response (approx. 0.15db from 10Hz to 80KHz), as can be seen from the photo in the pics section & more importantly they sound very good indeed! The ground / pin 1 connection on the XLR is tied to the sleeve on the jack socket & in turn to the metal case for screening. Lightly used but in very good condition & tested / fully working.
They will work the other way around (step up) BUT the impedance on the -10db side will appear quite low, so your source would need to be capable of driving low Z loads.
