Technical Details:

The Bruel & Kjaer 2209 Impulse Precision Sound Level Meter complies with all existing standards for impulse and precision sound level meters. More specifically, it is a Class 1 Sound Level Meter that complies with the IEC 61672-1:2013 standard. The Bruel & Kjaer 2209 is equipped with: individually calibrated condenser microphones (see list above); an internal reference voltage for calibration; "Lin.", "A", "B", "C", and "D" weighting networks; impulse and peak detectors with "Hold" circuits, as well as "Fast", "Slow" and "Impulse" meter responses; overload warning lamps; and an AC and DC output for connection to recorders, etc. The 2209 can handle crest factors as high as 40, and has a selectable low-frequency cutoff. External filters can be directly attached, and a wide range of accessories are available. The Bruel & Kjaer 2209 can also be connected to an accelerometer for the measurement of vibration. An interchangeable meter scale and a range of attenuator scales facilitate the direct reading of vibration (as well as sound or voltage) over a wide range.
