Supreme Semi-Hollowbody Sounds - Entries in the Ibanez Artcore Expressionist series are crafted around a shared passion for jazz-inspired sonics that honors Ibanez’s historic role in shaping many funk, jazz, and soul records from the 1970s and onward. This heritage was cemented when the instruments wound up in the hands of the legendary George Benson. The Artcore Expressionist AS93QMSP continues this formidable legacy, supplying modern musicians with the sound-crafting tools needed to explore the outermost reaches of robust, vibrant, and detailed tones. Jazz and funk guitarists can’t get enough of the AS93QMSP’s indelible sonic character, owing to its premium tonewoods — quilted maple, nyatoh, and Macassar ebony — and dual Super 80 humbuckers. An iconic silhouette is matched with eye-catching binding and a dazzling, visible wood grain, ensuring form and function are in perfect harmony for top-notch aesthetics.

Masterful assembly and solid sonic foundations - While we could debate endlessly over the merits of tonewood qualities with electric guitars (and trust us, it happens here all the time), semi-hollowbody guitars are unique in the way their natural acoustic properties intersect with their electronics. For the AS93QMSP, luthiers at Ibanez spared no effort in constructing this Artcore Expressionist guitar with the necessary tonewoods for a solid sonic foundation and classic semi-hollowbody sound. Quilted maple at the top, back, and sides delivers exceptional brightness and articulation. Its 3-piece maple neck comprises both nyatoh and maple, imbuing tones with warmth, brightness, and clarity throughout the spectrum. Up top, a Macassar ebony fingerboard completes the tonewood puzzle, supplying your sound with superlative sustain and fantastic clarity in every register.

Super 80 humbuckers are ready to rock - The AS93QMSP is equipped with a set of Ibanez's Super 80 humbuckers. These ceramic-loaded pickups are piping hot, yielding an exquisite blend of power and fidelity. They're also potted to safeguard against unwanted microphonic squeals. No matter what you plug into, the AS93QMSP will churn out a bright, punchy sound with truckloads of articulation. Finally, these Super 80 humbuckers include gold covers with eye-popping etched "flying finger" designs.

Effortless playability and historic style - Like many of its series siblings, the Artcore Expressionist AS93QMSP was designed with an AS Expressionist neck profile, crafted to accommodate thumb-under and thumb-over players with comfort as they explore the full scope of its 12-inch fingerboard radius and 22-fret array. Its set-in design bolsters the resonant qualities of its semi-hollowbody construction and center block, ensuring the sum of its tonal qualities is in perfect harmony as you play. Moreover, its 3-piece maple and nyatoh assembly isn’t just for enriching tonal depth; it increases the dimensional stability of the neck for exceptional resilience to twisting and warping.
