Guytron GT-100

Guytron GT-100 Head available for sale. What a cool amp this is and I've really enjoyed using it on some recent works but I'm funding another amp purchase and something has to go. Popularized by and still used by Jon Herrington, Dean Parks and Mike Landau when he was touring with Seal. If you don't know the details, it's an 18w Marshall EL84 power section slaved into a 100 EL34 power section. Slaved power amp distortion along with a spanky clean to edge of breakup in the two channel amp. It's not really a channel switcher in the traditional preamp gain style but there are two channels It's a really cool amp and I've enjoyed owning it. Unfortunately you can't keep em' all! Insanely good master volume due to the slaved nature... no anemic tones at whisper volumes and there's a tube buffered loop with high and low inputs. It's a very versatile amp and I can see why both Jon and Dean still use these. This is the original version built by Guy Hedrick.
