Yairi WY1 Stage Folk/OM Acoustic-Electric Guitar w/ Hardshell Case – Sunburst

The Yairi WY1 combines the comfortable proportions of a Folk/OM with a deeper body for added fullness and projection. Handcrafted in Kani, Japan, this Stage Series acoustic-electric pairs a solid AA Western red cedar top with East Indian rosewood back and sides, complemented by a rich gloss Sunburst finish.

Cedar brings warmth and sensitivity to a lighter touch, while rosewood adds depth and harmonic richness. The WY1’s generous body depth gives chords a full acoustic presence, making it a versatile choice for fingerstyle arrangements, melodic picking and vocal accompaniment.

FST2 forward-shifted bracing with asymmetric tone bars supports balance and note separation. Yairi’s rosewood Direct Coupled bridge transfers string vibration into the soundboard, paired with an extended dovetail neck joint and careful attention to construction.

The one-piece mahogany neck features a semi-gloss finish and a rosewood fingerboard with an abalone inlay at the 12th fret. A 25-inch scale length and 44 mm nut width provide a comfortable platform for intricate chord shapes and expressive playing.

Ivoroid binding, 1.5 mm paua abalone purfling and gold Gotoh tuners complete the elegant appearance. A bone nut and saddle and ebony bridge pins round out the appointments. Equipped with the LR Baggs StagePro Bronze pickup and EQ system and supplied with a brown Tolex hardshell case, the WY1 brings together refined acoustic character and practical versatility for amplified performance.
