Crown PIP ATX Input Module

ATX stands for AMC Theatre Cross(X)over. It is a custom two-channel crossover network with constant-directivity horn equalization that divides audio signals to properly drive the triamplified sound systems at AMC movie theatres.

Features 3-pin removable barrier block input and output connectors for each channel.

Each channel's crossover can deliver low, middle or high frequencies independently to the corresponding amplifier channel and to the daisy-chain output connector on the P.I.P. module.

Note: All specifications are refer-enced to a 0.775 volt input signal.

Low-Pass Frequency: -6 dB at 160 Hz (24 dB/octave). Band-Pass Frequencies: -3 dB at 36 and 2200 Hz (6 dB/octave). High-Pass Frequency: -6 dB at 800 Hz (24 dB/octave). Constant Directivity Horn EGO: +3 dB at 4 kHz.

Signal to Noise: Greater than 90 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

Frequency Response: ±0.1 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

Harmonic Distortion (THD): Less than 0.05% THD at 1 kHz with a +10 dBu input signal.

Common Mode Rejection: Greater than 90 dB at 60 Hz.

Crosstalk: Less than 90 dB at 1 kHz.

Connectors: 3-pin (Phoenix®) removable screw terminals.

Input Impedance: Nominally 50 K ohms balanced. 25 K ohms unbalanced.

Maximum Input Level: +20 dBu. Maximum Output Level: +20 dBu into 600 ohms.

Nominal Gain: Unity ±0.5 dB. Dimensions: 6 % inch width, 1 'A inch height, and 3 7/8 inch depth (16.2 x 4.8 x 9.8 cm).

Includes 1 PIP2 Adapter. Older PIP modules being installed into PIP2-compatible amplifiers require a special “PIP2 Adapter” which accepts the edge connector of the PIP module.

This PIP2 Adapter provides upwards compatibility, so any older PIP module can be adapted for use in any newer, PIP2-compatible amplifier. However, because of the extended feature set, PIP2 modules may not be used in older, PIP-compatible amplifiers.
