Vintage 1950 Martin 000-21 (like 000-28 and 000-18)
I call this 1950 000-21 the “D-18 killer.” as it is the loudest 000 guitar I have played and sounds fantastic. Yet it is equally as resonant with light finger-picking, which is why I find 000 guitars to be the perfect body size. I also prefer 21 style guitars as they have Brazilian rosewood like the 28 style, but are a little under stated. They also represent a great value as you get all the tone for much less of a price.
I bought it from the original owner’s family and had Judge Wolfe go through it from top to bottom. In addition to resetting the neck w a new saddle and nut, refretting it, re-glueing the bridge, and putting in new bridgepins, he touched up a previously repaired top crack a smaller B crack as well as other small cracks. It is now completely ready to go for a long time to come.
I offer a generous inspection period and have plenty of references.
