Fender Custom Shop 1954 Telecaster Super Heavy Relic, featuring a 1-piece rift-sawn maple neck in a Super Aged Nocaster Blonde finish.

New for 2024, the Fender Custom Shop delves into the Tele's early years to introduce a unique transitional model: the 1954 Telecaster. Early 1954 marks the final production run of the single-ply black phenolic pickguard on what we now know as a Nocaster Blonde body, which eventually transitioned to a single-ply white ABS pickguard matching the new Stratocaster.

Retaining the iconic characteristics of early Telecasters, this 1954 model features a two-piece select ash body (with offset treble stitching), a one-piece U-shaped neck, and a 7.25" to 9.5" compound radius fretboard. Equipped with a pair of hand-wound Custom Shop Loaded '51 Nocaster pickups, this guitar has all the clarity and twang you'd expect from an early '50s Tele®, but with a little more power.

The 1954 Telecaster is available in several Custom Shop finishes with varying degrees of wear, including Time Capsule, DLX Closet Classic, Relic, Journeyman Relic, Heavy Relic, and Super Heavy Relic.

Other premium features include 21 vintage medium frets (47095), Fat '50s Tele wiring, 3-way toggle switch, single-ply black phenolic pickguard, '51-'54 Tele bridge with brass barrel saddles, vintage-style tuners, bone nut, disc string tree, deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
