ROKUTARO NAKADE A3 1968 – All Solid Handmade Classical Guitar

A beautifully crafted, gorgeous sounding vintage guitar hand made by one of the greatest ever Japanese luthiers.

Those who are familiar with Rokutaro Nakade guitars know they have a warm, sweet tone coupled with good volume.

I have owned and played several Rokutaro Nakade's and this A3 has maintains trademark Rokutaro tone except it has a slightly more mellow and nostalgic sound.

This particular guitar was priced at 30,000 yen (approx. USD $250) in 1968.

The guitar has been taken care of very well but it obviously has not been sitting in a closet all these years, the open and vibrant sound of the soundboard suggest that it has been regularly played.

All solid rosewood back and sides and a glowing amber coloured Spruce top.

The guitar is quite lightweight but very robust with a thin neck that makes it very easy to play.

Nut width: 50mm

CONDITION:

In very good condition for its age. There is no bridge float, the neck is straight, no splits or cracks on the soundboard.  The action is set at a comfortable level with plenty of saddle left if you wish to go down lower. The tuners are the original tuners first fitted on the guitar and they function properly. Strings are brand new Savarez Cantiga.

There are some dings, scratches, crazing of the finish and other miscellaneous damage which is common for vintage guitars of this age but there is no significant damage. A picture is worth a thousand words so please see all pics for best understanding of condition.

Guitar can also be picked up in person from Camberwell VIC.
