Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a very rare desk stand from the 1950's or 60's era and perfect for just about any XLR type vintage microphone. I have only come across two of these model mic stands in the past 14 years and it reminds me very much of the Altec designs of that time. It also is very similar to the smaller Sarsaparilla desk stand made in the USA. This is a very rare banquet style desk stand.

This extremely hard to find desk stand is uber large and uber heavy. It comes with the long Atlas chrome AD-13 gooseneck that allows you to fully rotate your mic around in any direction without tipping over and gives you plenty of reach to work with. There is the Atlas P3F chrome XLR connector on the end of the AD-13 so that you may mount any XLR type microphone you have.

This stand has the Atlas P3F which is seated perfectly on the gooseneck and the cable attached to it is wired correctly and is balanced. Again, this is set up for any XLR type mic.

The massive cast iron base is not marked with the manufacturers name. It's just has a stamped 13 & HTR3 on the underside of the cast iron base. I have seen the smaller Sarsaparilla model stand before so I'm assuming this is the larger variant. It does have the notch on the base too where the cable exits out.

The stand weighs roughly 10 pounds so no matter how you angle a mic on this stand it simply will not tip over. The base is appx 12 inches long X 6 1/2 inches wide. It's very modern in it's design and really adds flair to any set up. Ideal for use in front of you at a podium, desk or while broadcasting. Great for drums too.

The base does show extremely lite wear. A few paint chips and scuff marks but very nice overall and I added 4 new felt pads to the bottom to keep the base securely in place anywhere it sits.

The Atlas GN-13 is in excellent condition and it's appx 17 inches tall when raised completely upright. It can be lowered completely down as well. The adjustment / tension is adjustable.

The cable that runs through the GN-13 and stand is in excellent physical and working condition and has the Switchcraft male XLR end connector. Simply attach any longer XLR cable of choice and you're in business.

This stand is an easy 8 on a scale of 10. If you demand rare and unusual...this stand will do the trick. Put your favorite 2 pin mic on here and you are ready for any live event.                            As always...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The shipping will be on you as I believe that's fair but the purchase price would be refunded.
