The PRS Swamp Ash Special in Black Doghair Smokeburst is a bold blend of vintage soul and modern innovation, crafted for players who crave tonal versatility wrapped in boutique aesthetics. With its visually striking high-gloss nitro finish over figured swamp ash, this guitar delivers a uniquely raw and organic vibe—where natural woodgrain meets sophisticated edge. The light weight and resonant swamp ash body provides a bright, airy tone with crisp attack, while the maple neck and East Indian rosewood fingerboard add snap and warmth in perfect balance.
Carved in PRS’s comfortable Pattern Regular profile, the neck feels effortless in hand, inviting expressive bends, speedy runs, or subtle fingerstyle nuance. Signature J-bird inlays soar across the fretboard, giving the instrument a classic PRS touch of elegance. But the real magic lies under the hood: a tonal triple-threat of PRS 58/15 LT humbuckers in the neck and bridge deliver rich, vintage-voiced warmth, while a PRS Narrowfield humbucker in the middle position adds sparkle, definition, and a hint of single-coil chime. The 5-way blade switch combined with two mini coil-tap switches unlocks a huge range of tones—from glassy cleans to fat, articulate crunch.
With Phase III locking tuners and a PRS Gen III tremolo, the Swamp Ash Special is built to stay in tune and ready to bend, dive, and shimmer with stability. Weighing in at just under 8 lbs, it strikes an ideal balance of comfort and sustain. Whether you're chasing classic tones or carving your own sonic identity, the PRS Swamp Ash Special in Black Doghair Smokeburst is a standout choice—an inspiring workhorse that’s equal parts showpiece and tone machine.
