Greg Black Bass Trombone Mouthpieces 0G Bore Options:Standard Bore Combination Weight:Regular
Greg Black has been making mouthpieces since 1985, carrying on the traditions of the great New York City mouthpiece makers. Today he and partner Benjamin Strickland run the shop in Mount Holly, North Carolina, where every mouthpiece is handmade. You'll find Greg Black mouthpieces in orchestras, Broadway pits, recording studios, and schools around the world.
Greg Black Bass Trombone MouthpiecesGreg Black's bass trombone line covers everything from the big 0G down to the 2G, with deep cups throughout. The 1 1/2G and 1 1/4G are the most common sizes. Since every cup is deep, choosing one mostly comes down to how it feels to you.
0G Specs- Cup diameter: 29.5mm (1.163")
- Good to know: The 0G is an extra large size, mostly played by advanced college players and professionals
- Cup depth: Deep
- Rim width: Medium thin
- Bore: 'O' (.316"/#3)
- Weight options: Regular or Medium. Heavier mouthpieces slot more firmly, while lighter ones give you more flexibility in slotting and dynamic control. Light is a great all-around choice, and heavier weights tend to be preferred for orchestral work or the extremes of very soft and very loud playing.
