【About This item and Sound】
The long-awaited Maxon masterpiece, the original D&SII from 1977 !
This Maxon D&SⅡ is First Version with no LED, no DC jack.
The serial sticker remains on the back panel of the pedal, and the serial number indicates that it was made in 1977.

Maxon D&S II stands for “Distortion & Sustainer Ⅱ”. In terms of sound, it is somewhere between an overdrive and a distortion.
In crunch, the D&S II delivers a subtle Tube Screamer-like overdrive, while in distortion, it delivers a biting, sharp distortion similar to that of the OD-808.
Distortion, Tone, and Balance knobs allow you to create the sound you want.

The D&S II is a very easy to use OverDrive Distortion pedal compared to the Big Muff-like “D&S” which has a thicker FUZZ sound.

Maxon is the brand of Nisshin Onpa Manufacturing Co., Ltd. which located in Matsumoto, the sacred land of vintage guitars in Japan.
Founded in 1966, the company introduced the DO808 in 1974, the original compact overdrive effects pedal in the world.The company has released a succession of masterpieces under the brand name "Maxon" for Japan and "Ibanez" for export.

There are some scratches where the paint has peeled off, but it is a beautiful piece that does not look like it is more than 45 years old.
・It works properly, but has some scratches as shown in the pictures.
・Box is not included.

The overall condition as an instrument is good condition!
There are some traces of past usage and aging, including dents.
