This Remo 14x11.5" Brazilian Marching Snare Drum is a lighter weight drum built for Brazilian-style street and parade music, particularly samba and maracatu. It's designed for high-volume projection with hand or stick articulation, and optimized for long-distance playing comfort. It has a tight, bright snare snap with high-pitched attack, dry decay, that projects well in outdoor street settings. Tuned high for caixa-like samba grooves.
Like most of Russ's gear, this drum is in exceptional condition. There is a minor separation in the out finish ply. The integrity of the shell is not affected. See photos.
Unfortunately, the head that Russ signed has pulled out of the hoop. We have included a new Remo head.
