The Ovation Celebrity Elite Super Shallow CE48-1 acoustic-electric guitar is packed with Ovation's legendary plugged-in performance, along with first-rate sound, style, and value. Ovation's classic multi-soundhole design and quartersawn scalloped X-bracing combine to imbue your playing with clear highs, focused lows, and a balanced response, along with phenomenal volume and projection. A Slimline pickup and OP-4BT preamp system provide plenty of useful features, such as a 3-band EQ and Volume/Gain control for tone-shaping, an onboard tuner, and a low battery light. The Ovation Celebrity Elite Super Shallow CE48-1 acoustic-electric guitar makes an excellent onstage companion. The Ovation Celebrity Elite CE48-1's Super Shallow body design is incredibly comfortable to play, but it offers full-bodied tone and a powerful projection that belies its thinner profile. Originally suggested to Ovation by country music legend Glen Campbell, the Super Shallow body style has since become the preferred body style of King Crimson's Robert Fripp, as it enables him to employ his electric guitar picking position while playing an acoustic instrument. Ovation wrote the book on live acoustic guitar. They were the first company to introduce pickups and preamplifiers in the acoustic guitar, essentially inventing a new instrument. The Ovation Celebrity Elite CE48-1 is equipped with an OP-4BT preamp that has +/-12dB control over the bass, midrange, and treble frequencies. In addition, the onboard tuner makes it easy to stay in tune.
