Good condition, no box. One of the first Boss pedals!  As with all old fx t has some idiosyncrasies. Lots of  the early silver screw boss models had momentary LEDs to preserve battery life, and so it is with the NF-1. The LED only lights when pressing on the switch.

The other important thing to note about the NF-1 is that it's extremely subtle. Understanding the controls does help: Leaving both Sensitivity & decay at 12 o'clock is the neutral position. From here it's counter-intuitive: for single coils work the controls counter-clockwise & for humbuckers move the controls clockwise.

I know there's some pretty good mods around to improve useability of this pedal. I was happy just owning it as part of my silver screw boss collection.
