If the 1960s were transformative for recording drums, the 1970s turned things up to 11. Recording leapt forward from monophonic drums to stereophonic, and the addition of close-mic'ing kits meant drum tracks got bigger and became more impactful and important to every record's mixed. Tens of thousands of the best drum recordings of all time were captured in this decade, but this sample pack features drum sounds for "Fame" by David Bowie and "Black Dog" by Led Zeppelin. The drums here were played by Jessica Burdeaux and expertly recorded by Noam Wallenberg at Chicago's Rax Trax Recording. The sample pack contains:
  • Black Dog: 5 cymbals, 2 kicks, 3 loops, 4 toms, 1 snares
  • Fame: 6 cymbals, 2 kicks, 4 loops, 2 snares
