1969 FENDER PRECISION BASS REFINISH FIESTA RED W/ CHENEY ENGLAND CASE

The original CTS pan is installed in a "standard pickup". When this bass installed an additional Jazz Bass pickup, they also installed additional tone and volume pots. The original owner used an additional "pitch" pot because of playing, so the guitar now has one tone and two volume pots, so it can get a much wider sound. The redundant hole in the pickguard is professionally installed and almost invisible because the original work was carried out by pro luthier from UK back in the day, the result on the additional pot was 1966 (Fender / CBS bought around 5 million 250K CTS pots in 1966 and was used on all models until around 1972 ). The original owner of the P-Bass bought it at Dealer in UK. For additional information, in the 1960's when Fender shipped guitars to the UK they didn't use USA made guitar cases and instead used cases Cheney England.

- Neck Details : One-Piece Maple Neck Rosewood. The neck stamp are dated October 1969 and the neck condition is relatively smooth for its age, original nut, intact and no cracks or traces of re-glue.

- Pickup measurements : P-bass = 8 ohms, JB pickup = 9.2 ohms
- Electronics: All electronics working good as well, all pots code are dated the 42nd week of 1966. All pickups are 100% original! The JB codes are “7460” which is the 46th week of 1970 and it appears a grey bobbin.
- Hardware : All original, All screws on the bridge, saddles work perfectly, but the 1st tuning key bushing was missing but it’s already replaced with the original fender vintage late 70’s bushing model ! The E string peg tuner is slightly bent and still works very well and also the A, D and G peg tuners have no problems at all. Includes an original thumb rest, pickup and bridge cover.

- Case Details : Original Cheney England Vintage Black Tolex case, black interior. Still works as well.
- Cosmetic Condition : The guitar has very moderate player and have extra hole nail in bridge area. There is some light finish checking in the front of the headstock, neck plate area, and back of the body because its age. The back of the body is free from buckle rash but shows a small dents, marks and chips.
- Frets : frets is 100% original and still in excellent shape, fat and plays very great. No buzzing or dead spot in any frets.
- Tech Notes : Neck is straight with no issues, truss rod is OK. Plus neck has been professionally set up! Ready to play!
- Pickguard: Original 4 ply tortoise-shell guard, no rest, no shrinkage and no warp.
