I’m excited to offer this Golden Age Gibson! 1957 ES225T with single P90 and cool cutout! It’s in great shape with plenty of light scratches scuffs and 50s finish checks.

Some parts have been replaced. Tuners were changed to Klusons. The knobs look newer. The bridge, tail piece and strap pin look old but probably not original. The floating bridge allows for pretty tight intonation. Somebody put a small panel over the spot where the output jack is. I haven’t looked under there to see what’s going on but I’m guessing some wood damage. It seems solid and works well.

Everything else looks to be 50s Gibson! The electronics work fine though the volume pot is a bit tight.

Frets are in good shape. They’re a little flat on the first few but still have plenty of life left. No big divots. There are a couple buzzy spots mostly on the low E and A strings. I think if the frets were dressed and polished, that would probably take care of it. They could use it anyway. I’d say action is pretty good and low. The truss turns freely both ways, but it is about at the end and almost loosened all the way. The pick guard is a bit warped and wavy, but looks great. Its edge doesn’t go past the strings. The P90 looks original, but I haven’t taken it apart to be sure.

The Hollow body tone on this beautiful thing is incredible! Super resonant old wood paired with this growly/powerful P90!
