Imitation is a high form of flattery when it comes to overdrives, and the Beetronics Wannabee “Beelateral Buzz” overdrive pedal embraces that with a double dose of overdrive circuits with a sweet twist. The Wannabee’s unique routing tools let you combine classic overdrives in any order or combine in parallel. These tools make it easy to stack tones, which is what most players do regardless — Wannabee just simplifies the process! The included circuits cover two drive styles with deep roots. The first is a transparent, medium-gain overdrive that’s prized for its golden tone and edge-of-breakup fidelity. It’s also useful as a boost! The second circuit is a blues-style packed with monstrous output and the response of a cranked tube amplifier. The strong clarity and note definition of this circuit achieve brilliant saturation, even at high volumes. The Wannabee also offers a bevy of sound-sculpting toggles for tweaking bass response and wet/dry blend. Moreover, two footswitches fuel independent control of each overdrive, which makes the Wannabee a silver bullet for all your overdrive needs. Secure a practical spin on your favorite overdrive pedals today with the Wannabee “Beelateral Buzz” overdrive pedal.
