This guitar is in “new” condition. Taken from box to test electronics and photograph.
This piece still retains all the magic of the '54 Les Paul Standard, like its wraparound tailpiece, 50s Rounded Medium C neck profile, and classic headstock, but this particular example is featured in Gibson’s most sought after finish - Olive Drab! As an added perk, this is one of the lightest Les Paul’s we’ve ever had come through here. 8lbs 1oz! The guitar sounds incredible and has a nice full tone!
Includes original Gibson Custom Shop Lifton case, Certificate of Authenticity and all paperwork.
From Freddie King to Jeff Beck, many great pickers have been attracted the unique character of the "wraparound" tailpiece of a 1954 Les Paul Goldtop. Some believe its direct link to the body stud screws maximizes sustain while others believe the wraparound bar creates a distinct tonality and vocal quality. Whatever the case, there is certainly something special about this early year in the Les Paul Model's history and Gibson Custom Shop created this '54 Reissue to perfectly recapture the look, feel, and tone of the originals.
