Holloman Custom Drums 5x14" Ash/Mahogany - Hand rubbed urethane over danish oil

This beautiful 5x14" Ash/Mahogany segmented snare is the next drum that you need for your arsenal. Segmented shells are built similar to stave shells but instead of the grain going vertical it's horizontal. Thus allowing the drum to have considerable less glue than plied shell for a more organic sound. But it is also more stable than a steam bent or stave shell. This is what gives the shells the look of that traditional butcher block look. 

Ash has a warm/crisp sound characteristics with a Janka hardness scale of 1320.

Mahogany has a warm/punchy sound characteristic with a Janka hardness scale of 830

This 5x14 shell is finished with a hand rubbed urethane over danish oil finish. This 10 lug drum is the outfitted in chrome hardware as follows, tube lugs, 2.33 hoops, Trick throw off, Evans drumheads, and Puresound wires. The bearing edges are cut at double 45 degrees.
