What a sweetheart we have here!  This is a 1959 Goya by Levin M-22 size guitar in Excellent Condition, sporting a freshly reset neck and an action worthy of an electric guitar.  It is a joy to play and has a great, crisp, woody tone. It is badged (truss rod cover) as a Levin, made in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Similar in size and construction to a Gibson LG-1, this concert sized guitar has a 24 7/8” scale, a 14” wide lower bout and is ladder braced.  The total length of the guitar is 39”.  The top is Spruce, Back and Sides are Birch, neck is Mahogany and the fretboard and bridge are Rosewood.

In the shop, we gave it a full neck reset, adjusting the angle, and  crowned and leveled the frets, checked the nut slots and adjusted the saddle height.  There was a slight center seam crack in the top, which has been glued, cleated and filled. The fretboard has been treated with lemon oil.  The tuners have been cleaned and lubricated and work perfectly.

The action on this guitar is a lovely 5/64ths on the Low E and 3/64ths on the high E, at the twelfth fret. We’ve strung it with a set of D’Addario Phosphor Bronze Custom Lights (.011-.052).

This M-22 comes with its original chipboard case, which is serviceable with a running repair of duct-tape.  Truly, it should be replaced. The original hang tag is inside the case.

This is a delightful little finger style guitar, perfect for folk or acoustic blues.  Its size makes it a wonderful travel guitar and it will sound great in a coffee house setting.

Please be sure to check out the photos carefully, as we have tried to capture this guitar from all angles.

This Levin / Goya M-22 is sold AS IS and is not returnable unless it arrives in a condition other than as described or photographed, here.
