PRS SE Custom 24-08 Exotic Electric Guitar - Lake Blue Midnight Burst

Serial Number: CTIG103266 Weight: 7 lbs 14 oz

A PRS with a Unique, Limited-edition Poplar Burl Veneer

This limited-edition PRS SE Custom 24-08 Exotic features a poplar burl veneer on a maple top, a mahogany body, and a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard in a subtle yet striking satin finish with smoked black hardware. It’s loaded with a pair of TCI (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) “S” humbucking pickups and advanced switching options to yield every type of tone a modern guitarist could ask for. Two mini-toggle switches serve as coil taps for each pickup, allowing you to instantly switch between fat humbucking tones and chiming single-coil tones — there’s even a “dual single-coil” mode unique to this model. Complete with PRS's Wide Thin neck profile for comfortably fast playability, this PRS SE Custom 24-08 Exotic offers a lifetime of musical exploration that's yours for the taking.

Elegance at every level

One look at the SE Custom 24-08 Exotic, and you’ll be mesmerized by the detail of its limited-run veneer. The poplar burl veneer features a look that is in a league of its own while retaining that classic PRS style of wonderful-looking tops. Mahogany and maple provide the classic body wood template for sustain and a bright attack, while the maple neck with rosewood fingerboard adds extra snap to the overall tone of the guitar. The smoked black hardware not only gives the SE Custom 24-08 Exotic a sleek look but also complements the black back and neck. Finally, a satin finish surrounds the body and neck, establishing a welcome contrast against conventional gloss-finished guitars — and it feels effortless to play.

Near-unlimited sonic potential

The TCI “S” humbucking pickups found in the SE Custom 24-08 Exotic were developed and fine-tuned by PRS to sound more musical and expansive than previous “S” model offerings. Despite being full humbuckers, the TCI “S” set captures elements of single-coil and soapbar-style pickups — lows are rich but tight, and highs sing beautifully without any harshness to its tone profile. When used as humbuckers, the output is clear with a slight edge that distinguishes the SE Custom 24-08 Exotic from the rest of the mix. Splitting the TCI “S” pickups takes that single-coil sound to new dimensions, capable of funky rhythm tones and bluesy leads. Guitar tone gurus are quick to note the overall sonic versatility on tap with the SE Custom 24-08 Exotic.

PRS quality in every guitar

All Paul Reed Smith guitars are designed for performance right out of the case, and the SE Custom 24-08 Exotic is no exception. Constructed from high-quality tonewoods and components, PRS instruments carry on a commitment to quality that's been the brand's hallmark since 1985, when Paul Smith began crafting guitars for some of the most elite players in the world. In fact, you'll often see a PRS SE in the touring rigs of the most well-respected PRS artists in the world.
