I am offering a Paul Reed Smith Tremonti Quilt 10 Top from 2008, a made in Stevensville, Maryland (USA) signature luxury model of Alter Bridge guitarist Marc Tremonti with a lightweight resonant mahogany body (total weight 3.9 kg!), a sublimely figured quilted maple 10 top, set mahogany neck with slim Wide Thin neck profile and 42.9mm nut width, selected rosewood fingerboard with open contour birds mother-of-pearl inlays, two top-quality PRS Tremonti humbucker pickups, a high-quality PRS USA tremolo bridge and PRS Phase II locking tuners in a radiant emerald green high-gloss finish with nickel hardware, in excellent condition including PRS luxury hardshell case, all manufacturer's papers and professional setup with 10-gauge Elixir strings.

Mark Tremonti of the power rock band Alter Bridge was already playing a McCarty when the first singlecut was introduced by PRS in 2000. It wasn't long before the PRS Tremonti signature saw the light of day, better suited to his personal style of playing, a mixture of metal, shred and traditional blues. It's hard to believe, but in the 16-year history of PRS, Mark Tremonti was only the second to be honored with a signature model after Carlos Santana.

While the first version was painted an opaque black, the Tremonti is now available in numerous colors and beautifully figured maple tops. With a little luck, you can get hold of real gems, and this is undoubtedly the case with this PRS Tremonti 10 Top. The rare Emerald Green high-gloss finish of the spectacularly three dimensionally grained Quilted Maple top perfectly matches the rest of the instrument's dark color scheme.

The thicker, solid mahogany body, which of course is not weight-reduced at PRS, weighs in at a singlecut ideal weight of 3.9kg and gives the sound such tremendous punch. The two humbuckers that are characteristic of this model are also responsible for this. The rather bluesy-warm Tremonti Bass at the neck was joined by the Tremonti Treble Humbucker, a very powerful 15kΩ colleague at the bridge. And so this PRS covers a fairly wide range of tones and is suitable for a variety of musical styles.

As a special feature, the tuning stable bridge on the Tremonti has a trem up routing, which also leaves room on the bridge for bendings downwards. The workmanship quality and excellent playability are at the highest level, as you would expect from PRS. The very well playable neck has a slim wide thin profile and feels good in the hand.

The PRS Tremonti 10 Top with quilt top is rare – in Emerald Green practically impossible to find a second time.

This PRS Tremonti is in excellent condition and technically flawless. Visually, there is only occasional fine superficial wear (see photos). The frets are in excellent condition.
