Offering a vintage 1960's era dynamic microphone, model 3826, from Califone/Rheem/Roberts. Info on this company is a bit complicated, but from what I can gather, (Robert Metzner) who also operated under the Califone brand (because he lived in the San Francisco Bay Area of California), had a manufacturing relationship with Japanese company Akai, who actually built their products. His company was later absorbed by Rheem, who were a major supplier of tape recorders to educational facilities. Rheem/Califone stopped producing audio products and now makes residential and commercial water heaters, boilers, heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment.

     This is the first one I have ever come across, and it looks like none other...a 4" x 3" plastic casing with gold weave grill cloth, a grip pivot joint with working on-off switch, and wired to a new 5' cable with 1/4" male phono plug. (We can swap the plug for a male XLR if you prefer.) The audio is clean with some bass roll-off, so best used for voice only. (A voice sample can be provided upon request.) The mic stand threads are clear and undamaged.
