Traditionally in industry Brass bushings have always been used as bushings due to its softer, less damaging effect on moving parts.
Converter bushings for fitting vintage Kluson machine heads that usually come with 8.8mm bushing, to fit into modern size 10mm headstock holes.
NB These will not fit metric machine Heads as those have thinner diameter 6mm shafts).
