This is a mostly original 1965 Fender Pro Reverb (OI - Sept 1965) that I bought in 2010 from the son of the original owner...well, at least that's what he told me. He had replaced the transformer and some of the caps, but the rest is original. I replaced the 12" Oxfords with 2009 Jensen ceramic C12Q and that's about it. Tubes are a mixture of new and old - Telefunken 6L6GCs, some Sovtek preamps and a GE 5AR4 rectifier tube.

I've played live with this amp quite a bit, and it embodies the low-power twin tone and feel - great breakup at a reasonable volume, really subtle sag, but also very responsive. 35 watts and two 12s is a special combination.

This is an amp that you can plug directly into and get a world of tone, but will also take effects beautifully.
