Here's something you don't see very often, a Hamer USA Daytona Hardtail model from 1996. As far as I know there are very few hardtail version of the Daytona model made by Hamer. I have had about 3 different USA Daytonas and they are all excellent strat and on par with Fender Custom Shop in terms of quality and play-ability.
I trust you already know this USA Hamer Daytona was hand-crafted in Arlington Heights Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. This means each fret was hand-seated to perfection, not mass-pressed like USA made Stratocaster.
This is in a very clean condition with only minor playing scratches on the body. The neck and frets are very clean. The case has some wear but everything is intact. It even comes with the tools in a Hamer zip-lock as well as the key for the case.
The only minor issues are with the tuners. The previous owner replaced the low-E tuner with a Gotoh tuner so there's a pin hole size for that tuner on the back of the headstock. I have since replaced it with a new Sperzel tuner that I have on hand but it's in chrome instead of the nickel so it looks slightly different. There's also a nick on the B-string tuner as you can see on the pictures, but these are easily replaceable parts.
The pickups have been replaced with Lace Sensor Blue-Silver-Red pickups that were very popular around the time of when the guitar was made and they are actually really good pickups that can cover a wide range sound. I believe these Daytonas originally came with Seymour Duncan pickups, at least that what one my Daytonas came with. The pickups are wired to a volume only and the two tone pots are not wired, which provide a very direct sound and simplicity. Looking at the dates on the tone pots on they look like they were made around 1996 so the modification seem to be done around this time. Again, this will be easy to re-wire to the normal Strat configuration. I can also include an 0.22uF Orange Drop cap if you want to rewire it back to normal.
