One of the most RARE and sought-after guitars to ever leave the Gibson Custom Shop, they very seldom appear around the world and rarely in the UK. This is the first of its kind, made in 2010 in very limited numbers and this is a VERY LOW SERIAL, #19 out of 300!

NOT to be confused with the subsequent “Made in U.S.A.“ model (which can easily be spotted by the Slash Snakepit logo on the front side of the headstock). The guitar you are watching is the ULTRA-RARE Custom Shop model made in 2010 for the first time ever and based on Kris Derrig's iconic 59' replica that Slash used for the entire recording of Appetite For Destruction.

It was purchased from Guitar Center in California on the year of the release. The guitar has been gigged and loved for the last 16 years and has slowly acquired an incredible vintage mojo, becoming even more special as it now is is even closer to the iconic Kris Derrig Les Paul that Slash used during the ‘Appetite for Destruction‘ years, instead of the V.O.S. ”new” look that it had back in 2010 when it was purchased. If you are a die-hard fun of the golden age of Guns N Roses and Slash, it cannot get better than this, you are up for a trip down memory lane with the highest quality that Gibson has to offer!

The body features a 2-piece highly figured Maple top (see video) chosen to match the original and an incredibly lightweight one piece solid Mahogany body. The neck has Slash’s preferred profile replicated from the original. It feels “beefy” and is extremely comfortable to hold and play. The binding edges are rolled and feel so comfortable after so many years of playing, much better than new guitars. The Rosewood fingerboard has Trapezoid inlays which are identical and unique to the Kris Derigg replica rather than the generic inlay shape that other custom shop models have nowadays. Frets are jumbo, comfortable, and installed over the binding, just like the original by Kris Derrig replica. My left-hand playing style is quite light and hence the frets have A LOT of life in them, they are in very good condition. Internally the guitar has two Seymour Duncan Signature Series Alnico II Pro Slash pickups, instant GnR tones and mojo. The Nickel plated hardware is also lightly aged throughout with a lightweight Aluminum tailpiece, ABR-1 bridge and Kluson Deluxe Tuners with keystone buttons. There is no pickguard fitted, just like the original, pickup rings and poker chip are cream. 

As well as its killer appearance, it is the LIGHTEST Les Paul I have ever come across, sitting at a featherweight 3.8kg. The un-covered Zebra Alnico II pickups measure 7.92K in the neck and 8.27K in the bridge position.
