Gibson Custom SJ-200 Vine Acoustic Guitar 2004 - Natural

Here is a beautiful Gibson SJ-200 Vine acoustic guitar! This one is a true work of art, featuring not only beautiful woods, but impeccable inlay work. This 2004 "Custom Built" guitar is in excellent condition.

The Vine obviously refers to the inlay pattern done in abalone pearl that stretches the entire length of the fretboard. Additionally this model features inlays on the face of the headstock below the script Gibson logo, wrapping the tuning machines. The guitar also has abalone purfling around the top and back perimeter, along with a pearl rosette center ring. The bridge is thoughtfully inlaid with the same material as well.

The guitar features premium woods including a beautiful sitka top, highly figured maple back, and highly figured maple neck. The fingerboard and bridge are rosewood. The top, back, neck, and headstock are bound with multi-ply binding.

The nut and saddle have been replaced. It's in very good shape overall without much in the way of play wear or dings to note. There are some light pick marks on the guard, and some faint surface lines from handling and polishing. It appears to have been well-kept, humidified, and well-maintained the last 20 years.

The guitar weighs 5lbs 5oz. The neck measures .860 to .930 at the 1st and 9th frets. It has a traditional C shape neck that is comfortable without too much shoulder. The guitar is big, loud, and deep sounding. Plenty of bass from this one, with a nice top end. It's clear and bold, and the top drives easily with some weight behind the picking hand. It sustains quite well too.

Overall a beautiful looking and sounding guitar in great shape! Ships in a Gruhn Guitars Calton-style case that is in good condition. Includes the end pin.
