Rare vintage Yamaha YTR-931ML Custom Bb trumpet in silver plate.

Condition: Excellent apart from subtle evidence of minor dent repair on bell stem and 2nd slide (see photos). Almost no noticeable scratches. 1st and 3rd valves were replated with nickel. Has been ultrasonically cleaned, polished, and adjusted. Includes original Yamaha Custom case (side handle is torn).

About this model: A lightweight, reverse leadpipe, Bb trumpet from Yamaha's storied collaboration with Renold Schilke before the company began research into heavyweight trumpets that would become the Xeno line.

Playing characteristics: A highly versatile Bb trumpet with a gorgeous dark, rich sound at moderate volume that brightens when pushed. Very quick response and outstanding flexibility. Has Yamaha's characteristically excellent intonation and precise slotting (though slots are not as tight as a modern Xeno).
