This is a 1998 version of the “American Vintage '57 Stratocaster,” one of Fender's most highly regarded vintage reissue models.

The AVRI series from this period is known for its high reproduction of the classic Stratocaster and extremely superior quality and sound.

- Features

Serial number: V080122 (made in 1998)

The original color is Vintage White, but the lacquer coating has yellowed beautifully with age.

Pot date: R1379523 (R137 -> CTS company, 95 -> 95 years, 23 -> 23rd week (around June))

Head logo decal removed (player's custom, to give it a Nocaster look).

Changed the pickguard to black, white, and black-and-white 3-ply (originally white 1-ply).

Tremolo arm/back plate missing.

- Sound

It has a vintage 57 Strat-like crisp single tone with good rise.

Bright and sharp cutting in the rear, sweet and bluesy in the middle, and warm and fat tone in the front.

Furthermore, the lacquer coating gives the body a very good sound and excellent response.

- Condition

There are some signs of use overall, but there is no damage that would interfere with playing, so it can be used for live performances and recordings as an immediate asset.

In my opinion, refretting and neck adjustment are not necessary.

It has a custom pickguard replacement and decal removal, but it can be restored to stock condition with the right parts.
